PC salget faldt 29% fra 21Q4 til 22Q4. 29%!!!!
The global PC market ended 2022 on a low note, with total shipments of desktops and notebooks down by 29% to 65.4 million units in Q4.
In fact, the numbers plunged for the fourth consecutive quarter, with sales falling 28% according to IDC, 28.5% according to Gartner, and 29% according to Canalys. These numbers include laptops and desktop computers running Windows, macOS, or Chrome operating systems.
Global PC shipments left Q4 2022 with a record-high YoY decline of 27.8% to reach 65.2 million units, according to Counterpoint Research’s data.
According to IDC, 67.2 million traditional computers were shipped in calendar Q4, down 28.1 percent on the prior year, on a par with the number of boxes sold to resellers and retailers in the final quarter of 2018 when the sector was constrained by Intel's CPU shortages.

Research and consulting firm Gartner cited economic uncertainty as the reason behind a drop in worldwide PC shipments in the fourth quarter of 2022 and the year overall.
Shipments fell 28.5% in Q4 2022 compared with Q4 2021 and 16.2% for the year, Gartner reported in preliminary results. There were 65.3 million units shipped in Q4, the “largest quarterly shipment decline since Gartner began tracking the PC market in the mid-1990s.”
There were 286.2 million units shipped in 2022, which also marked “the worst annual shipment decline in Gartner’s PC tracking history.”

Lenovo, HP and Dell kept their top three spots in the fourth quarter, shipping 15.7 million units, 13.2 million units and 10.9 million units, respectively. Compared with Q4 2021, the three saw declines of 28.6%, 29.1% and 37.0%.
